The working man's blog

Grumble.

I'm SO over this whole "have a job, earn money, pay bills, do this till you die" thing.

I get it. You need to get a job. You have to make money to survive. You have to climb that corporate ladder. Yadda yadda. I GET IT. I learned the moral of the story.

The novelty has long since worn off. I'm almost 30. I've been working since I was 13. The longest break of unemployment I've ever had was one semester in university becuase I was taking SEVEN mother effing courses (so not exactly a "break", more like "no time to eat sleep breathe work think").

I get the point. I GET IT. Work = money = no homeless Sabina. I get it. Can I stop now?! Can I finally just sleep in? Can I finally stop spending the majority of my waking life at work?

I mean, don't get me wrong. I dig my job...I have the best coworkers...blah blah. But...hmmm getting up in the morning to go to work vs. sleeping in....watching soaps....playing with my cats...giving myself a pedicure....reading all the books I keep saying I'll read but never get a chance to....heck, even go back to school....

Yeah I'll take the latter option. I got the lesson of life. Is there a test? Did I pass? Am I done yet?

Being a grownup effing blows goats.

On another note, it seems that Nic D was correct....whole life insurance (as opposed to term) is the way to go, so that when you're old if you don't give a crap about your life insurance anymore you can withdraw from it...sounds good to me. I need something to look forward to when i'm old and decrepit. Now I just gotta squeeze some more juice out of my bank account to PAY for life insurance. Um yeah I guess that's where "see above comments on having a JOB" comes into play.

You need to get over LIFE

Yeah that sounds pretty good right about now. Teen angst rears it's ugly head and yet, sometimes it just makes sense.
